innoSTEP-WL foot drop system for weak foot drop – application videos
The innoSTEP-WL wireless foot drop system can be prescribed by your doctor as an aid for foot drop weakness and covered by your health insurance. By means of functional electrical stimulation of the pernoneus nerve, the foot lifter system enables a safer gait pattern and can support neuronal reattachment. In short clips, we give you helpful tips on how to use the innoSTEP-WL in everyday life and how to care for it properly. All it takes is a few simple steps.
A brief overview of the entire scope of delivery and the components of the innoSTEP-WL foot-operated lifting system.
The innoSTEP-WL wireless foot drop system can significantly improve the gait pattern of people with weak foot drop and is conveniently delivered to your home – we will show you which components are included in the scope of delivery. So you are optimally prepared for your instruction
The scope of delivery includes:

Removing the cuff
The cuff can be easily detached from the stimulation unit so that you can clean or replace it.
The innoSTEP-WL foot drop system is used for immediate disability compensation in cases of foot drop weakness and is particularly easy to care for. The cuff with which the system is attached to the leg is connected to the stimulation unit via press studs. This makes it quick and easy to remove for cleaning or replacement.

The innoSTEP-WL is simply attached below the knee and enables a natural, safe gait pattern.
The innoSTEP-WL foot lifter system essentially consists of a stimulation unit connected to a cuff and is attached to the affected leg below the knee. The cuff with integrated tissue electrodes provides optimum stimulation with a high level of comfort thanks to the large-area stimulation of the peroneal nerve and tibial muscle.
The system is particularly simple:

The gel electrodes are placed on the head of the fibula and on the tibial muscle.
The innoSTEP-WL foot drop system can also be used with gel electrodes. Once the correct cuff for applying the gel electrodes has been connected to the stimulation unit, we show you how to position the electrodes correctly in this video.
Before sticking on the electrodes, make sure to carefully clean the skin of dirt, grease and creams and remove the protective film from the electrodes. The gel electrodes are attached to the head of the fibula and to the shin muscle to ensure optimum stimulation:

The training mode makes it possible to strengthen the leg muscles and supplement the neuronal rewiring while sitting or lying down.
The training mode supplements the daily use of the innoSTEP-WL and should be used especially if you do not use the gait mode on a daily basis. The aim is to further strengthen the leg muscles and promote neuronal reattachment.
In training mode, the peroneal nerve is stimulated at set intervals: The affected leg is best positioned loosely in a sitting position or raised:
