Handling the self-adhesive, reusable electrodes

The position of the electrodes should mainly depend on the localization of the pain, the radiation of the pain, the course of affected nerves and the position of trigger and acupuncture points. The electrodes are placed directly on or in the immediate vicinity of the area of pain or by circling the area of pain.

Connection of the self-adhesive electrode

Carefully remove any dirt, grease, make-up or similar from the skin before attaching the electrodes. Connect the electrode cables (+ red / – black) to the electrodes. The polarity (+ anode / – cathode) is usually irrelevant. Remove the protective film from the self-adhesive electrodes and stick them to the treatment area.

Removing the electrode

Pull on one corner of the electrodes to remove them from the skin. Please do not pull on the cables when doing this! This procedure can damage the electrodes and the electrode cable. After removing the electrodes, please stick them back onto the carrier foil.

Storage and care

Always store the electrodes in the sealed original packaging in a cool, dry place. If the adhesive properties and conductivity deteriorate, it is advisable to moisten the electrodes with a few drops of water after use. Storage and operating conditions: Temperature: +5 °C – +35 °C | Relat. Humidity: 30 % – 80 % | Atmospheric pressure: 700 hPA – 1,060 hPa.

Cleaning and disinfection

To ensure that the adhesive electrodes adhere for as long as possible, clean them carefully with a damp, lint-free cloth or clean the underside of the electrodes under lukewarm running water and dab them dry with a lint-free cloth. Disconnect the connection cables from the electrodes before cleaning under water. It is neither necessary nor possible to disinfect the electrodes.

Indication / contraindication

If skin irritation/redness occurs, stop treatment immediately and consult a doctor.
Do not apply to wounds or injured/open areas of skin.
Only use electrodes that adhere properly and only for one patient.
Do not insert into body orifices and follow the instructions for use of the stimulation current devices.
