The innoSTIM-ET is a digital, multifunctional therapy device for home use. With a total of 33 programs for TENS (transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation) and EMS (electrical muscle stimulation), it offers a wide range of applications – from the treatment of chronic or acute pain to muscle building. The electrodes attached to the skin transmit electrical impulses to the nervous system and muscles. The electrical impulses generated, their intensity, frequency and frequency range are defined in the respective application program or can be defined in the individually adjustable programs.

During an EMS application, the respective muscle receives relevant electrical impulses and, depending on the program, a finely defined tension or relaxation follows. The innervation strength can be set individually. The program-specific sequence of tension and relaxation is equivalent to intensive isometric muscle training. This allows patients to maintain their mobility and muscle strength independently at home, even when they need to rest.

Pre-programmed comfort programs for the treatment of chronic or acute pain are available for a TENS application. Nerve pathways are stimulated via the skin, which can reduce the patient’s perception of pain with virtually no side effects. The scientifically proven principles of pain information override (gate control) and the release of endorphins (burst) are used.
