The Nu-Tek Levator Elite is a user-friendly EMG/biofeedback system with triggered stimulation that is particularly suitable for treating incontinence. Biofeedback therapy is a scientifically based procedure: Physiological processes – such as muscle activity – that normally occur unconsciously are recorded via electrodes or probes and reported back to the patient by means of visual or acoustic signals. This allows the patient to learn and practise how to influence them voluntarily.

The Nu-Tek Levator Elite offers a variety of training programs – from strengthening the pelvic floor and sphincter muscles to treating erectile dysfunction and relearning movement patterns after a stroke. Three different modes are available to the patient:

• • EMG mode to assess muscle activity and train the muscles by alternately tensing and relaxing them without additional stimulation
  • STIM mode with 20 preset programs for incontinence treatment or improving sex life. Muscles and nerves are electrically stimulated at pre-set intervals.
  • ETS mode for EMG-triggered stimulation, in which the muscles are electrically stimulated on the basis of the EMG measurement values and thus trained particularly efficiently.

As part of biofeedback therapy, the patient exerts a deliberate and measurable influence on physical processes. Not only do the EMG readings allow them to draw direct conclusions about their muscle activity; training successes are also directly visible. This increases motivation, which favors long-term therapeutic success. Thanks to its wide range of programs, the Nu-Tek Levator Elite can be used in a variety of ways:

Contraindications

    • Pregnancy (except as directed by a doctor)
    • Unexplained pain
    • Skin irritation in the area of the electrode system
    • Inflammation or infections in the vaginal/urinary tract area<7li>
    • Non-existent sensation in the pelvic floor due to denervation

Do not attach the electrodes in the following regions:
